Alarms, how alarming.

It's been a few days now that I have been without the 911. It's strange how one can miss an object. Perhaps it's because this object appears to have a persona of it's own. At the least, I would get conversational with it when things looked bleak. Good news is that I'm about to get her back.
The source of my problems appear to have been the cursed alarm system, which is seemingly competing with the car for attention. It won this round... Those retched relays must be taught a lesson.
With the gremlin issues hopefully gone, I can now refocus on local registration, and eventually driving it.

Week One
I can't believe a week has already passed by. Such an eventful journey and all very much more due to the 911's uncanny ability to outdo itself.
I've had a failed ignition coil occur in our nation's capital. An unknown gremlin presented itself in an undercover carpark leaving me stranded after returning to Melbourne. This was followed by failed electric window switches; not one but two. Just now, the old battery decided to retire.
The joys of owning a thirty year old car. I must note that I'm not surprised at any of this, just disappointed that they occurred so soon and so frequently. Knowing that the car has been in storage for a while helps me sleep at night; these occurrences are expected.
In the end, I pause and look at the curvaceous beauty and am pleased to be able to call her my own. That's what counts: it's always about the car.

The Purchase
Ultimately I purchased the cabriolet. However, the journey home was not quite simple...

More on the journey soon... I just wanted to post a preview picture.
I'm happy to say that the car was all I expected. With a bit more (not necessarily all of that being great) thrown in for adventure's sake.

Introduction
It is a Thursday night and whilst appreciating a pint of Single Batch Little Creatures I ponder about the task ahead.

A price has been agreed on, yet everything is still not yet set in stone.
What is ahead? A flight to Sydney. A final, in-person inspection. Perhaps if all is well: a transaction. If so, then it will be a road trip back to Melbourne.
Nothing is yet certain, however this blog will document the new adventure.
